About Solacen

Built around people, not procedures

We started Solacen because we believed older adults deserved a care environment that felt genuinely like home — one where staff remember birthdays, not just medications.

Our Story

Twelve years of quiet dedication

Solacen opened in 2013 in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi — a neighbourhood that felt, to our founders, like the right size for the kind of care they wanted to offer. The name comes from the word solace: comfort in difficult times. That word has guided every decision made since.

Our original program focused exclusively on assisted living. Over the following years, families began asking whether we could support residents during recovery from surgery or illness. A structured rehabilitation stay program followed. Later, families caring for seniors at home reached out for daytime support — and the Companion Day Program was developed in response.

Each program grew from listening to families. That approach hasn't changed.

How We Operate

Standards that matter to families

We hold ourselves to clear operational standards — not because a checklist requires it, but because residents and families deserve consistency they can count on.

Licensed Care Staff

All care staff hold relevant Thai Ministry of Public Health certifications in elder care. Staff-to-resident ratios are maintained according to licensing standards and reviewed quarterly.

Individualised Care Plans

Every resident or program participant has a documented care plan reviewed with family members upon entry and updated regularly. Care plans follow medical guidance from the resident's own doctors.

Nutritional Standards

Meals are prepared on-site to meet the nutritional needs of older adults, with input from a qualified nutritionist. Dietary restrictions and preferences are accommodated as a matter of standard practice.

Safety Protocols

The facility maintains documented emergency response procedures, fire safety compliance, and fall-prevention infrastructure. All protocols are reviewed annually with relevant authorities.

Personal Data Privacy

Resident and family data is held under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). No information is shared with third parties without explicit consent, with the exception of coordinating directly with medical providers.

Family Communication

Families receive regular updates on their relative's wellbeing. A dedicated contact is assigned to each family for questions or concerns, available during office hours with out-of-hours emergency contact provided.

Our Values

What Solacen stands for

Senior care in Thailand has changed considerably over the past decade. Families are more geographically dispersed. Adult children often balance their own family and work responsibilities alongside caring for aging parents. The need for professional, trustworthy senior care has grown — and the standards families expect have grown with it.

At Solacen, we've built our services around a straightforward principle: older adults are full people, not a category of patient. Their preferences, histories, relationships, and habits matter. The best care environment is one where those things are noticed and respected, not overridden in favour of efficiency.

Our location in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi places us within accessible distance of Bangkok while offering a quieter, less congested environment — one that many residents and families find more conducive to wellbeing. The Chaengwattana corridor has strong transport links, and our facility is designed with accessibility at its foundation.

We work closely with families throughout a resident's time with us — because care is a shared responsibility, and families are often the ones who know their relative best.
