Why Solacen
What sets Solacen apart
The right senior care environment makes a noticeable difference — for residents and for the families who love them. Here's what we do differently.

A summary of what matters
Qualified, caring staff
All care team members hold relevant elder care certifications and are selected for both professional competence and interpersonal warmth.
Truly individualised care
Routines, meals, and activity involvement are shaped around each resident's preferences and needs — not a standardised schedule.
A genuine home environment
Residents may bring personal furniture and belongings. The physical space is designed for comfort and familiarity, not clinical efficiency.
Medical provider coordination
We work alongside residents' existing doctors and therapists, not in place of them. Medical continuity is treated as a priority, not an afterthought.
Family kept involved
Families are given a dedicated contact point, receive regular wellbeing updates, and are welcome to visit. We see family involvement as part of quality care.
Wellbeing beyond basic needs
Physical safety matters, but so does emotional and social wellbeing. Our programs include creative workshops, gentle activity, shared meals, and conversation as core elements.
Professional Expertise
Staff who know elder care well
Over twelve years of operation, Solacen has built a care team with deep, practical knowledge of the needs of older adults. Our team holds certifications from Thai Ministry of Public Health-approved training programs in elder care, rehabilitation support, and dementia-aware practices. Professional development is ongoing — staff participate in refresher training and quarterly reviews.
Experience in senior care isn't just about knowing what to do when something goes wrong. It's about knowing how to make days go well — noticing when someone seems quieter than usual, remembering that a resident prefers their tea without sugar, or knowing that a particular activity brings genuine pleasure. That kind of knowledge takes time to build, and it shows in daily life at Solacen.
- Ministry-certified elder care professionals
- Rehabilitation coordination with licensed physiotherapy experience
- Ongoing staff training and professional development
Process & Approach
Clear, humane processes
Families often approach senior care decisions during stressful periods. The process of joining Solacen is designed to be clear and unhurried. We begin with a conversation — not a sales pitch — to understand what the individual and family are looking for. A visit follows, and then a care planning discussion with relevant staff before any admission.
Once a resident joins, their care plan is documented and shared with the family. Any changes to the plan — in response to health changes, preferences, or family input — are communicated clearly before being implemented. We don't believe in making decisions about people without involving them.
- Transparent admission process with no pressure to decide
- Documented care plans shared with family from day one
- Resident and family input included in care decisions
Customer Service
Attentive, responsive communication
When a family member is in care, the quality of communication from the facility matters enormously. At Solacen, each family is assigned a named contact — a staff member who knows their relative personally and can give specific, meaningful updates. This isn't a call centre service; it's a conversation with someone who has spent time with your family member that week.
Our office is open Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM, and on Saturdays from 9 AM to 4 PM. For non-urgent matters, we respond to messages within one business day. For anything more pressing, a direct line is available.
- Dedicated family contact for each resident
- Regular wellbeing updates — not just at admission
- Emergency contact line for urgent situations
Value & Pricing
Transparent costs, no hidden charges
Senior care represents a significant financial commitment for most families. We're clear about what each program costs and what that includes from the outset. There are no intake fees beyond the stated monthly or weekly rate. Any additional services — such as specialist medical visits arranged through the facility — are discussed and agreed in advance.
Our pricing reflects the standard of care we provide: qualified staff, personalised support, nutritious meals, activities, and family communication. Families can make decisions knowing there won't be unexpected additions to the invoice.
- All-inclusive monthly and weekly rates with clear scope
- Additional services agreed in writing before arrangement
- Flexible day program scheduling to fit family budgets and needs
Results & Outcomes
Care that makes a visible difference
Families who have entrusted relatives to Solacen frequently describe improvements in mood, appetite, and social engagement within the first weeks. This isn't coincidental. When a person feels listened to, is eating well, is physically safe, and has meaningful activity in their day, their overall wellbeing tends to improve — sometimes noticeably.
For rehabilitation residents, outcomes vary with individual health circumstances. What we can offer is a supportive, attentive environment that allows recovery to progress at a comfortable pace — without the pressure or limitations of a hospital setting. Many rehabilitation residents have extended their stay beyond the initial plan because of how they felt during their time with us.
- Wellbeing improvements documented in care plan reviews
- Rehabilitation paced to the individual, not a standard timeline
- Families report confidence in relatives' daily quality of life

What We Do Differently
Distinctive aspects of Solacen
Flexible scheduling for day participants
The Companion Day Program allows families to choose full-week or partial participation — a level of flexibility that most senior day programs don't offer. This makes it workable for families with variable weekly schedules.
Collaborative relationships with medical teams
Rather than building an in-house medical infrastructure, we coordinate directly with the resident's own doctors and specialists. This preserves continuity of care and avoids duplication or conflicting advice.
Programs that can flex as needs change
Moving between the Assisted Living and Rehabilitation programs is straightforward. Families don't have to navigate a transfer to a different facility as a resident's health situation evolves.
On-site nutritional preparation
Meals are prepared on-site daily by kitchen staff familiar with the nutritional requirements of older adults. Dietary preferences and medical restrictions are accommodated as a matter of standard practice, not a special request process.
